Join moderator Tomm Carroll, LA correspondent for The Celebrator Beer News and LA Beer History writer for Beer Paper LA, for this third bi-annual LA Beer Week panel. Brewers who have started brewing professionally in Los Angeles in the last two years — or have plans to do so in the near future — discuss their experiences starting a brewery as they share their war stories, talk about their beers, and answer the questions that inquiring potential brewers have on their minds.
LA Beer Week continues with a Firkin of The King's Taxes from the valley's newest brewery MacLeod! These guys are making great English style Real Ales and we'll be pouring one or two more of their beers from our taps. Since The King's Taxes is a Scottish style ale it's only appropriate that we kick things off with some Live Bagpipes!
LA Beer Week is a celebration of beer in Los Angeles and we want to show our appreciation to Eagle Rock Brewery and The Maltose Falcons - both of which are a huge part of the history of the LA brewing scene. Join our friends from Ealge Rock and taste two Falcons Collaboration beers - Norm II Smoked Porter and Longevity Baltic Stout! We'll also be pouring Eagle Rock Unity, Populist IPA, Manifesto Witt and Solidarity Black Mild on Nitro!
Join us for LA Beer Week! We're devoting all 18 of our taps to LA based breweries and we're kicking things off with El Segundo Brewery. This will be the first time we've poured El Segundo and we'll be tapping 3 of their beers - Citra Pale Ale, White Dog IPA and Two 5 Left Double IPA. You can also keep an El Segundo glass while supplies last.
Interested in volunteering at what sounds like an awesome beerfest this November @ Crafted in San Pedro? There will be breweries from all over the world sampling their finest at this fest so I thought our knowledge of all sorts of beer styles would go to good use! Not to mention you get a free entry to one session (other than the one you're volunteerting to work) to enjoy samplings from other breweries.
