November 2013 Membership Meeting

Hi Folks, Its time for the 2013 November membership meeting! Your new board of directors are now at the helm! The meeting starts at 12 Noon, please be on time as we have a lot to go through before we have to end. Don't forget to turn your clocks back Sunday Morning, Daylight Saving Time ends at 2AM Nov 3, 2013! Please Bring your homebrews to share! Also, you may bring beers for the trouble shooters corner that will take place after the Grand Hydro presentation! Lunch will be served and a good time will be had by all! Also, this month will feature the choosing of entries for the Surfliner Homebrew Competition against the Santa Beerbarians! This friendly competition has been going on for about 5 years! Each club enters 3 beers of one particular style. The beers are anonymously judged at a local brewery. Last year, Maltose Falcons former Prez Nancy Gold won with her Doppelbock. This was the Falcons first win after three years of heartbreaking losses! The style for this year's Surfliner is Barleywine. If you have a good Barleywine which you would like to submit for possible inclusion into the Sufliner Comp, please bring it to the Membership meeting on Sunday, Nov 3. We will pick the best 3 Barleywines at the membership meeting to represent the club. The comp will be held on Nov 23 at the Surf Brewery in Ventura! The winner gets a lot of bragging rights and chooses the style for next years comp!
