Due to the COVID-19 virus, the 2020 Mayfaire Competition has been postponed until now! To deal with the realities of beer judging during a pandemic, we're going virtual with a slightly increased bottle count (3) and a complete throwback set of style guidelines based on the very first recorded style guidelines from 1979!
In the spirit of the "Stout or Bock" and "Unusual" categories, we've added "Hoppy" and "Belgian" to the guidelines. We're sure you know what to do. Please note for the purposes of this competition "Light" is 12 SRM or under, Dark is 13SRM+
All judging will be handled either remotely or in a properly socially distanced fashion. Judges, please make sure you live in the LA Area so we can get the beer to you (ideally the LA Metro Area between Thousand Oaks and Pasadena and no further south than Long Beach)
