Treasurer
The board welcomed back Tiffany Ashrafi, who has graciously agreed to step into the role being vacated by Kent Fletcher. We thank Kent for his many years of service, and wish him all the best in his sailing adventures around the globe.
Tiffany will officially take over the position of Treasurer on Jan 1, 2021.
Activities
Ilan is working with local bottle shops including Vendome and Valley Beverage to see if we can work with them to provide beer for future virtual club meetings. These beers would focus on the specific style being discussed at the meeting.
Competitions
Doug King Memorial is going to be a bit later than usual next year, Deadlines for entries: Jan 22 , check-in Jan 23 , with Feb 12 being the final day of online judging, which will be done in a similar fashion to Latefaire this year. We will continue to use the regular DKM rules and categories, and cap entries to a total of 100.
Grand Hydro
Videos will be posted shortly for the Imperial Yeast and Matt Brynildson presentations. The Brown Ale meeting will also go up on a podcast.
Membership
We have 99 active members currently with 6 renewals and 2 new members this month. Ilan is working with Rick to help with renewing lapsed memberships.
We are working on updating the web software to have a subscription-based membership that auto-renews every year.
Newsletter
Deadline for submissions: Dec 23.
Board members have been asked to suggest new topics of possible interest.
President
The board is very sad to see Bernard Lebel leave this position. He has led the club admirably for a year, and his dedication and hard work has been greatly appreciated.
Drew has agreed to step in on an interim basis for 3 months while we continue the search for a new President.
