Sunday morning - Breakfast!
Time for our annual Maltose Falcons party! Last year we got all dressed up and partied it up at a hotel for our 40th Anniversary celebration. This year we're staying casual and returning to the DAV in Woodland Hills to celebrate one of the most epic holidays ever - Oktoberfest! You may remember this location (Disabled American Veterans Hall) as the site where we judged the Doug King Competition this past January - It was awesome & their fab staff is welcoming us back!
We will have an outdoor bar stocked with some of the best/award winning beverages made by your fellow Falcons (including shop brews you may have participated in!) DAV has a large open space for games such as cornhole, bocce, Frisbee, keg toss, lots of picnic tables for board games, and more! We will even have access to the swimming pool to cool us off in the sweltering valley heat – yay! And of course the Falcons Blues Band will be rocking out on the DAV stages so you can get your dance on!
If you plan to drink your fair share (*wink*), we will have camping on site as well. Oh, and you know our Burgermeisters have a fab menu up their sleeves for our Oktoberfest Feast and Sunday morning breakfast for those who stay overnight – with the skills of Natalie & Michael + huge grill & outdoor kitchen, our tummies will be well fed! (See menu below!) And what would a Falcon event be without Dead Palates Society at the end of the night, right?
Please note that this Fest is an exclusive event for registered Falcon members and their guest – all attendees must sign up on our website & each entry is $25 ($10 for responsible DD’s.)

Hey the Maltose Falcons Blues Band needs to be there, sure the beer is the big deal, the food is awsome and always required but the band is the glue that holds the party together. This venue has a great outdoor stage and dance area and also an indoor stage that will be ideal for the bands extended performance. Show the band members some love to get them to be there- I'm going to hit those guys with 2 bottles of Deschutes- The Abyss to encourage them to rock the O-fest!
To his credit, the stalwart Falcon Mr. Wickham has contacted the band about this event. The band intends to play and will be rehearsing for this gig to ensure a great musical and festive environment for all who attend. Who knows, we might even bring some beer (and mead) to serve!
