February 2018 Club Meeting - Chili Cook-off!

Sunday, February 4th, 2018 - Join us for our monthly membership meeting. All are welcome!

The meeting starts at 11:00 am, with introductions and general business. The Grand Hydro - Drew - will present the style of the month which is TBD but will be something "Celebratory" in spirit of Super Bowl LLI and provide liquid examples. Remember to bring your own tasting glass and your homebrew to share and for review by your peers.

Then we'll move on to our lunch - our Annual Chili Cook-off!  Want to show off your chili kung fu to the club?  Just make one crockpot full of delicious chili (4 quarts or larger so there's enough to go around for your fellow judges) and bring it to the meeting. There will be extension cords for you to plug into and keep your chili warm. Feel free to bring any accoutrement to serve with your chili as well as a serving utensil. Prizes to be awarded to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners and will be announced at the meeting!  If you bring chili, your lunch is free! Want to compete? Jenna has won 1st place 2 years in a row! She challenges everyone to bring their tastiest creations! Sign up by emailing Burgerfrau Jenna at burgermeister@maltosefalcons.com and/or letting us know in the comments below.

There's a rumor that something called a "Superbowl" is happening the same day, but worry not. We should be done in plenty of time for people to get where they need to be for kickoff. Shooting for 2pm meeting departure.

"Troubleshooters Corner" will be available for those with specific issues or who are too shy to present to the whole group. Welcome to those who want to check out the club and welcome back to all of our old friends.

Club meeting will be held, as usual, at the Home Beer Wine Cheesemaking Shop in Woodland Hills, CA - Come as you are!

Address: 22836 Ventura Blvd # B, Woodland Hills, CA 91364

Event Date:
Sunday, February 4, 2018 - 11:00 to 14:00
