Once again this year, the Maltose Falcons were honored to host a bar and serve our homebrew as a donation valued at $1,500 for the Friends of the LA River Fandango fundraister party. The party, on Saturday, Oct. 8 at LA River Studios, had hundreds of guests, with amazing food and live entertainment including Moby and Mia Doi Todd. The guests were totally blown away by the Falcons' homebrew, and we had more than 10 kinds of beer and a mead. We took things up a notch and had a beautifully decorated bar. The Friends of the LA River was selected as a local cause to support because, as brewers, we depend heavily on water. They are leading the effort to transform the LA River into a massive new resource of green open space and recreation in Los Angeles. Learn more at http://folar.org/about.
