I tried to post this a while back when I was in New Orleans...
Should you find yourself in New Orleans, try a few beers from Abita Brewing. They're a local brewery and they make some very good beers. Turbodog was my favorite, but the Amber and the Golden were good too.

I have been a huge fan of Abita since my trip to New Orleans a few years back. I started with the Amber while I was in New Orleans. Once I came back I was excited to see that BevMo and Vendome carry their beers. I tried the Turbodog and really enjoyed it. Blue Palms in Hollywood had their Strawberry one which was nice for a hot day. I most recently tried their 25th Anniversary Vanilla Double Dog which I picked up from Vendome, it was also very nice. I'll have to check out their Golden.
