I was in BevMo recently buying beer to send to a friend in Atlanta. The clerk said that once a beer has been chilled, you shouldn't let it warm up again, as it could alter the taste. I might be able to buy that if it were a bottle conditioned beer, or maybe a beer that has delicate flavors, but these were all IPAs and stouts and stuff.
Anybody buy this? Or was this guy full of baloney.
I'm no chemist, but I can't see how the climb from 40 to 75 degrees (and then back down to 40, presumably) would "alter the taste"? I call baloney.
