Strand Brewers - Beach Bar Bike Bash

The Strand Brewers would like to invite you to join us for our combined Beach
Bar Bike Bash (the BBBB) and Summer Party.
It’s taking place on Saturday, August 4rth.
So save the date.
More details will be coming soon, but we want you to know this year’s bash
is going to be something special.
We are going to end up at Summers Sports Bar in upper Manhattan Beach at
around 3-4 PM in the afternoon.
Summers Sports Bar
3770 Highland Ave
Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
But they will be opening at 9 AM so party participants can drop off kegs or
bottles of homebrew in their fridge before the day’s bike ride.
And they are offering us FREE all day parking.
(Just make sure to park in their designated parking spaces on the side of the
building—not the metered spaces in front)
Then bike riders will gather down on the Hermosa Pier where we will visit
some of the location’s best beer venues before riding up to the Manhattan
Pier to visit even more beer spots.
Actually, some of us will get an early start at 9 AM by taking advantage of
the incredible “Rise & Shine” breakfast offered by Sharkeez on the
Hermosa Pier ($6 plus endless Mimosas) as the rest of the group gathers.
Sharkeez is an easy place to meet.
Once we reach Summers Bar in the afternoon, the official party will start.
The Strand Brewers is selling tickets for $20 which will cover sumptuous hors
d'oeuvres during the afternoon and a fine buffet dinner—chicken, potatoes,
veggies, etc.—from their kitchen.
In exchange, Summers is giving us the whole back of their tavern to party,
drink our homebrew, and play pool, darts, and foosball for the rest of the
evening.
We’ll finalize our plans at the Stand Brewers monthly meeting on Wednesday,
July 11, so look for an update shortly thereafter.
Many of you have joined us before on our annual BBBB summer bike rides on the
great South Bay bike path.
This one is going to be the same, but even better.
