The Fifth Annual Belgian Brew Challenge will be held on Sunday, March 24 2019. The registration site for Judges, Stewards and other volunteers is now up and running at http://comp.belgianbrewchallenge.com/. This is a BJCP and AHA-sanctioned competition. Judging will be held at LA Ale Works 12918 Cerise Ave, Hawthorne, CA 90250 starting at 9:00 AM. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers. Volunteers will also get a tee-shirt, so please check the Size box when you register.
Judges and Stewards are invited to submit entries as well. Registration of beer entries will be open starting February 8th. For more information, check out http://belgianbrewchallenge.com/. This small competition focuses on Belgian styles 21b, 23b, 23c, 23d, 23e, 23f, 24a, 24b, 24c, 25a, 25b, 25c, 26a, 26b, 26c, 26d, & 28a, based on the 2015 BJCP Guidelines. There is one additional specialty category 35a that will be used only for beers that do not fit within the style descriptions. Each style will be judged individually with awards going to each style, not category. The Best in Show beer will be brewed as a Pro-Am brew at LA Ale Works.
