Attention Falcons, as part of the club's efforts to do more charitable activities and bring beer-joy to the world, we are honored to have been invited to once again host a homebrewed beer bar to support the Volunteer Appreciation Party of the local non-profit Food Forward on Saturday, January 26, 2019. To participate, you have to commit to bringing a 5 gallon keg (or a bunch of bottles) of beer, cider, soda, cold brew coffee, or kombucha, and be there by 4:00 PM to help set up.
Saturday, January 26, 2019
4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Food Forward, North Hollywood
Food Forward is an excellent organization that gathers surplus fruit and produce from vendors at farmers market all across Los Angeles County and distributes it to food pantries, senior and youth non-profits that have nutrition programs for low-income people. That prevents food waste, and provides delicious, healthy, high-quality produce to thousands of low-income people, which is very expensive and something they simply don't get.
The Falcons will build and host a beer bar for about 150 people at Food Forward's annual Volunteer Appreciation Party. We do a couple of these events for non-profits every year, and it is really a fun, rewarding experience. Bartending is fun, sharing homebrew and watching people get mind-blown when they taste it for the first time is fun, and you'll be giving back to society and supporting a very important cause.
As of now, we have an English Bitter Ale and a Belgian Blonde Ale.
Remember that these are not heavy drinkers or beer aficionados, so we need things that are easy drinking.
