Join fellow Falcon Jeremy Stacy on Sunday, July 21 to brew some of his award-winning sour beer for the July Club Shop Brew Session. Jeremy will lead the crew in brewing a Catarina, a new provisional style in the BJCP style guidelines that is essentially a fruited imperial Berlinerweisse, if that was such a thing. It has its roots in Brazil, where a combination of German roots and an abundance of tropical fruit have combined to make an awesome tart style. This is a beer meant to be enjoyed fresh, with the fruit being added at the same stage a dry hop would be otherwise.

Be prepared to work--they'll be decocting over 100 pounds of grain in two kettles over two burners and they'll be using lots of burners to caramelize and concentrate wort. But you'll have fun and learn a lot and walk out with a unique beer. You will know decoctions when you leave.
Join Board Secretary Rick Morales as he leads the crew in brewing his Breakaway Barleywine on Sunday, November 18. Rick named this beer after Breakaway from Cancer - https://www.breakawayfromcancer.com and is dedicating this beer to his and our good friend and longtime Falcon Richard "Beanie" Webster, who has been struggling with cancer during the last year. Rick hopes to let his batch age until it can be tasted by Beanie when he's able to drink beer again.
