Club meeting and Chili Cookoff Sunday February 13th 12:00 p.m.

The February club meeting is set for Sunday the 13th due to the Superbowl being on the 6th. Mark your calendars for this date.

We hold our annual chili cookoff competition every February. You can make it however you want with beans, no beans, hot, or mild. Just make sure that you make enough to serve a small sample to everyone that comes to the meeting. Usually about 1 1/2 gallons (6 quarts) will do. Make sure that you bring it in a crock pot, or bring a portable burner to keep it warm. Bring any toppings that you want to offer. An extension cord and serving utensil is also a good idea. The club will provide the sample cups, etc. Cool prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place chilies. We would love to see a least a dozen entries for this competition to make it really interesting, and to make sure that there is enough food to go around.

You must sign up at the end of this event blog to let us know if you plan on entering a chili for the competiton. We need to know how many will be available to feed the masses as this will be the lunch for the day. Show us your culinary skills!

Of course we will still be doing our standard agenda of beer tasting and upcoming club events, etc. Bring your beer to share too.
